So "Wot" now?
Well firstly thank you for joining our site or as we like to call it “Crowd”.
You see the way it is if you go to a gig you join a crowd and that’s what we like to think we are, just part of a huge crowd that love live music.
How should I use the site?
Well you can use it however you like.
First add a gig you have been to.
You may be first and you create the event on the calendar.
If it exists already the site will tell you and you can add yourself to that crowd then tell us how good it was.
List the artist.
Find the Venue.
You can search a city in the search box and it will bring up a list of all the venues that have been added in that city/town. If your venue isn’t in the list then just create it. It will then be there for everybody else.
You can add the cool stuff you have from your gig. Ticket stub, photos, programme, videos.
Write a review of the gig, tell us how good it was. Or maybe wasn’t!
Then finally add the date of the gig and the time.
The time is not critical normally but if you are putting on a band you saw at a festival there may have been many bands playing the same venue that date so then it matters.
Don’t forget to save your gig.
You don’t have to add all the detail if you don’t want to you can just create the gig or add yourself and it will add that gig to your own list of gigs you were at.
Have a crash around the site look at other users profiles. Look at the gigs they have been to and read about some of the ace times they have had.
You will be amazed at some of them.
Create a crowd of your own.
If there is something you particularly like then create a crowd and invite other people who like the same stuff as you to share stories, ideas and experiences.
Remember all music is relevant to someone so just because you like rock music and not soul music or hip hop not pop. there is a place here for everyone. Just join or create a crowd for the stuff you most enjoy and maybe have a peep at other peoples stuff. You may be surprised and find out you like something you had never heard.
If you are an artist, either in a band or solo. Start a crowd and invite people to join. Show them your stuff tell us when and where you are playing. We all love to discover the next big thing.
Meet people on the forum if you want to chat about something that is the place to be.
Most of all enjoy the site and meet other gig goers, you never know you might meet actual friends.
