Band On The Wall
Gig Description
I can't recall off the top of my head how many times I have seen this band, but last nights gig was the best ever.
Playing their closest gig to home on their UK tour they inevitably sold out the iconic venue Band The Wall.
I am sure that there were many people in the audience who for them it was the first time they had seen Man and the Echo, but there were also a few shouts of "Go on the Cheaps" which for those of us that have followed the band for long enough will know that the band evolved from a previous band with all the same members.
There were proud family members in the audience who over the years have become friends as we have followed these guys every step of the way.
This gig was unlike any Man and the Echo gig that we have previously been to in that the gig was split into 5 short acts where the band with a thread that worked through the show, (see the program I uploaded).
The band shambled onto stage wearing overcoats and hats for the first set "Coming in from the cold".
They played every song with great energy and as a band were as tight as I have ever seen them.
Working their way through the current album "Men of the Moment" with the odd song from the first album and the usual comical comments between songs this set was classic M&TE.
The set was wrapped up with "I don't give a f**k what you reckon" and huge applause from a happy Manchester crowd.
