Gig Description

Doves announced they were playing The Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Capacity 200! Celebrating 30 years of Heavenly the label they have released their four albums on.

I knew this was going to be one of the hottest tickets of the year, having a friend who lives in Hebden Bridge and a member of the Trades Club, I asked him was he going and could he get me two tickets.

Tickets went on sale at the box office at the venue then online an hour later on Saturday 9th of November.

The first person in the queue was at 5am. over a hundred and fifty people joined the Trades Club when the gig was announced hoping that this would help them secure tickets.

The website crashed due to the amount of traffic and many people were turned away from the queue at the club itself as with a 200 capacity it was obvious if you were near the back end of the queue you weren't going to be successful.

Any at 14.26 on Saturday i received a message from said friend to say it had been chaos but he had bought four tickets, two of which were mine!

Due to the Corana Virus Pandemic the gig has bee rearranged for the 12th of December 2020. lets hope we are back to some kind of normality by then.
