Gig Description

I was at the 30th anniversary tour and seen them on every tour since.

Unfortunately this time around due to the smaller venue size tickets sold out and I couldn't get my hands on one.

Fortunately I have a friend who knows Terry Hall from football who had a word and I got on his guest list!

The night got off to a good start with a pre gig Ska fest at the Thirsty Scholar, with legendary DJ Martin the Mod spinning the tunes.

Got into a rammed venue in good time and sorted a decent spot to watch the gig.

The band were tight as usual and played all the classics with a good few new song from Encore which were well received.

The band performed a three song encore with a new song, Ghost Town and finally You're Wondering Now.

Brilliant show.

Having guest list tickets came with the benefit of aftershow wristbands which gained us access to a separate bar after the show.

Nothing to write home about, Lynval made an appearance for about five minutes then disappeared. Ah well never mind I never been a sycophant but it would have been nice to meet my music heroes. Their songs still as relevant today as they were forty years ago when i was first blown away by them.
