Gig Description
This is one of the gigs that people talk about wishing they had been at. I read an article somewhere, "Its a gig you would have missed a mortgage payment for."
Bobby Giliespie was not going to endear himself to the crowd or Micheal Eavis.
The gig was memorable for Gillespie being completely nuts culminating in the power being pulled and him being dragged off stage at the end of the set because he pretty much refused to leave.

Eleven years ago, Nicky Wire entered Glastonbury folklore by opining: "They should build a bypass over this shithole". But he's a pussycat compared to Primal Scream's (Pyramid stage, 8.50pm) Bobby Gillespie. Early on in the set, he promises to "give you bad vibrations", and he's not wrong. Nobody expects the band who wrote a song called Kill All Hippies to start gushing about leylines, but this is ridiculous.
